What is physically happening to the body? The body is ageing and the childbearing age is coming to an end, while the ovaries will gradually stop producing estrogen and progesterone. The ovaries stop ovulating so pregnancy is not really possible at that point (hip hip hooray!). This is an end of the whole Menstrual era, the end of one phase in life and the beginning of a new one that you have most definitely earned.

Are there any physical changes? The most notable change is that women stop receiving their monthly period (no need for Menstrual products).

Though It must be noted, it does not all happen in one month, it can take between six months to a year, the period flow can be very strong or you may find that a month or 2 later there is barely any menstrual blood, but It is most definitely not regular. When there is less Estrogen the calcium is not absorbed from the food we eat as efficiently as it used to, so it is crucial to add calcium and vitamin D to your diet or take different supplements.
